About Me
I'm Karen, IBCLC, mother of 4, born and bred on Anglesey.

I have been supporting families in their breastfeeding journeys since 2011, volunteering and running my own breastfeeding cafes in Llangefni and Bangor. I also volunteered on the local postnatal hospital ward for 2 years.
Covid hit, and it became clear that it was now or never, so in January 2021, I qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, allowing me to devote myself to my passion.
My personal experience as a mother, combined with my knowledge and skills, help me provide clients with all the support and guidance they might need. Being bilingual and a mother of four, I understand the importance of providing a nurturing and supportive environment for both the mother and baby, in their own mother language.
My interest in the 3 step trauma came after experiencing traumatic births with both my first and last babies. As a part of my training my cohort and I went through the technique, leaving us in no doubt the power of the process.
My three-step rewind training has also given me the ability to work with mothers facing the aftermath of birth trauma, to help them move past negative experiences and focus on the joys of newborn parenting.

I am also a certified hypnobirthing practitioner, and I use mind-body connection and relaxation techniques to help mothers have a peaceful and positive birthing experience. My mission is to empower mothers, provide exceptional support and care, and create a memorable birthing and breastfeeding experience.
